PRESS RELEASE: ILA Local 1422 Endorse Teddie Pryor Sr. In Mayoral Race
(NORTH CHARLESTON)— North Charleston Mayoral Candidate Teddie Pryor, Sr. has picked up the endorsement of The International Longshoremen Association (ILA) Local 1422. The state’s longest and oldest organized labor force voted unanimously to support Pryor’s bid to become the next Mayor of the City of North Charleston.
“Mr. Pryor’s work in equity and fairness, addressing livability and transportation issues, as well as his commitment to work with business leaders, unions, and other stakeholders positions him to be the most qualified candidate, said Charles Brave, Jr., President of ILA Local 1422.” “We look forward to working collaboratively with him and his administration to address issues and concerns affecting the city of North Charleston and the Lowcountry area.”

ILA Local 1422 was established in 1936 and controls cargo coming through the Charleston port.
